SAM.gov vendor search
Search a federal vendor before you contract
Find a SAM.gov entity by UEI, CAGE code or legal name. Use the free result card to catch expired registrations, missing capability data and exclusion flags before the vendor enters your workflow.
SAM.gov registration and renewal are FREE at sam.gov. The U.S. Government never charges you to register, renew, or update a SAM.gov registration.
CageCheck is an independent, privately operated service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Government, the General Services Administration (GSA), SAM.gov, or any government agency. The official registry is at sam.gov.
Fast pre-screening
The lookup is designed for a quick first pass: active or expired, days until expiration, exclusions, CAGE/UEI identity and capability codes in one place.
Useful for repeated vendor checks
Procurement teams, brokers and prime contractors can use the free lookup to triage vendors, then download a PDF or order an independent report when a record needs review.
Common questions
Can I search SAM.gov vendors by company name?+
Yes. Enter a legal name or DBA and CageCheck searches the public entity extract. Exact UEI or CAGE searches are more precise, but name search is useful when you only know the company.
What does a vendor search show?+
The result card shows public registration status, expiration date, CAGE code, UEI, address, NAICS/PSC capability codes, business types and active exclusions when present.
Is this the official SAM.gov website?+
No. CageCheck is independent and uses public SAM.gov data. Always confirm high-stakes contracting decisions on the official SAM.gov record.
